The administrative area of Senožaty lies within Protection Zones I, II and III of the Švihov Reservoir on the Želivka. As a result, landscape protection is one of the defining themes of the village. The church complex in Senožaty includes a mortuary, a stone boundary wall, and southern and western entrance gates. The rectory has a Baroque gate leading into the courtyard. The “V Lázni” well provides another historic highlight: the shallow stone well is associated with former medieval baths and covered by a simple wooden shelter with a gabled roof. In the 17th century, Bohuslav Balbín was treated at the former baths associated with the well.

The rural farmstead in Senožaty is located in the central part of the village square. It includes a former inn, a residential building, an entrance gate, an agricultural building and a barn. Together with the church complex and the rectory, it makes the village centre an area where several forms of the village’s architectural and functional history can be observed.
