Opposite the church there is also a Baroque vicarage built in 1758. The free-standing niche chapel called Poklona is located by house No. 144. It dates from the first half of the 19th century. On the outskirts of the town stands a Baroque wayside shrine dated 1715. It has a four-sided chapel with shallow niches and a pyramidal finial.

The Literary History of Dobré dílo

Stará Říše is notable not only for its buildings. Josef Florian founded the Dobré dílo publishing house here. Toward the end of the First World War, Stará Říše had become a center of poetic and visual Expressionism. Thus, alongside its visible architecture, a literary and artistic dimension is also part of the character of the town.
