This creates a varied picture for planning your trip: you can combine a stay with swimming, cycling or hiking while also discovering natural monuments as well as archaeological and religious heritage. The different themes are not concentrated in a single attraction but shape Vojkovice in various ways.

Water and trails for varied days

A specific place to visit is the Koupaliště města Židlochovice swimming pool at Brněnská 426 in Vojkovice. The facility has a 50-metre swimming pool, a 22-metre pool for non-swimmers and a children’s paddling pool with a diameter of 12 metres. This means that facilities for swimmers, non-swimmers and younger children are explicitly documented. For families, this distinction may play an important role when putting together a day’s programme, without implying any other features.

The Brno–Vienna cycle path also passes through Vojkovice. Those who prefer to explore the surrounding area on foot will find the red-marked long-distance Svatojakubská trail here, which also passes through the village. The Vojkovická vrbovna lies on the northwestern edge of Vojkovice. This natural monument extends along the Vojkovický or Mlýnský-Náhon watercourse near the local mill. Another defining feature is the pollarded willows in the cadastral area of Vojkovice: around 500 of these trees stand along the Vojkovický-Náhon. The stands connect with those in the cadastral area of Holasice.

Archaeology and small religious monuments

The Vojkovické nivy archaeological site lies on a rise above the river. During various prehistoric periods, settlements or burial grounds, possibly both, were located there. More than 150 graves from different periods have been examined at Vojkovické nivy. The more than 150 examined graves from different periods are among the traces of the region’s early history. This does not indicate current accessibility or ongoing visitor operations; the site remains primarily an important archaeological reference point.

A smaller but richly detailed monument is the Boží muka wayside shrine on the road to Syrovice. It dates from the early 18th century. Its niches depict the Holy Trinity, a Pietà and Saint Anthony of Padua. The combination of a precisely dated structure and several religious depictions gives local history a concrete and vivid dimension.

Local traditions and village life

Local festival culture is also part of the picture of Vojkovice. The traditional Svatovavřinecké hody Vojkovice festival was scheduled to take place from 7 to 9 August 2026 at the football pitch. The planned programme included cimbalom, disco, modern and brass-band music. The date is already in the past and is therefore not an indication of a future event date; it does, however, show that traditional festivals, alongside nature, trails and history, are part of the documented local life.
