The Church of St. Wenceslas and Local History

The Church of St. Wenceslas in Nemotice is a cultural monument. It is a single-nave Baroque building with a prismatic tower dating from 1793. The church was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent in 1794. The years refer to different aspects of the building: 1793 to the prismatic tower and 1794 to the consecration of the church. Services are held in the church regularly on Sundays at 11 a.m. For visitors who would like to combine architecture and local history, St. Wenceslas is therefore a clearly identifiable cultural point of interest in the village.

Another historical trace leads to the former fortress of Nemotice. It was located on a hill west of the village centre, surrounded by the Kyjovka River. The fortress was first mentioned in 1371 and fell into disrepair sometime after 1531. Its documented history extends over more than 160 years, from its first mention in 1371 to its deterioration sometime after 1531. Today, as a former site, it is part of the local history and complements the older development of Nemotice beyond the preserved church.

The two routes differ in their connections: the hiking trail runs from Brankovice to Švábenice, while the cycling route runs from Otrokovice via Koryčany to Rajhradice.
