Lasenice – Mill, Chapel and Nežárka

Lasenice connects the Nežárka with a remarkably dense succession of historical traces. Lásenice extends along both banks of the river; at the same time, the village is surrounded by numerous other ponds and forests. From the late 14th to the 15th century, a frequently used medieval trade route led through Lásenice to Stráž nad Nežárkou and onward to České Budějovice. A visible link to today’s transport landscape is the embankment of Formanský rybník, which forms part of the road to České Budějovice. The Nežárka cycling route is also interesting for active days: it is very easy and suitable for trekking bikes.
