Hradzen: Forest, Mountains and Hiking Trails

Hradzen is the place for you if you are looking for a trip among forests, a mountain massif and marked trails. The landscape combines a scattered settlement, the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area and distinctive viewpoints with specific hiking routes. This allows you to plan your stay around the landscape and the character of the trails and combine different experiences. For planning your day, this means that a viewpoint provides a clear reference point, while a particularly long route with challenging sections requires more time and endurance.

Forests, protected landscape and mountain views

Hradce is a settlement with scattered buildings in the forests at the foot of the Blanský les Protected Landscape Area. The scattered buildings stand out as a settlement pattern against the forest landscape at the foot of the protected area. Hradce is therefore situated in a landscape that brings together settlement, forest and mountain massif. Southwest of Hradce rises the 741 m-high Kluk mountain massif. This combination alone gives the surroundings a clear profile between forest and mountain ridge.

From the two chapels on the northern access path, there is usually a beautiful view of the Kluk and Kleť mountain massifs. The view thus connects two distinctive reference points in the landscape and offers a specific place where you can take in the mountain panorama.

Hiking trails around Kluk

The summit rock on Kluk can be reached via the red-marked hiking trail 0152 and offers a view of Kleť. The trail therefore leads to a landscape destination, while the summit rock itself forms the viewpoint.

The green-marked route 3335 has a different character: some sections are very challenging, and overall it is particularly long. This difference is important for your planning if you want to choose between a specific route to a viewpoint and a more extensive route.

After a section through the forest, the green-marked route 3335 leads to Hradce. From Slavče, it passes through the forest to the saddle of Kluk Mountain. The route therefore includes both the forest section and the transition to the mountain saddle as distinct reference points.

A 27.5 km route through Hradce

Another distinctive connection is the 27.5 km route of the KleKluLi run, which passes through Hradce. It complements the hiking trails with a clearly designated long-distance route, thereby expanding the ways to experience the landscape. At 27.5 km, this route also has a clearly defined length. It expands the selection with a running route focused on the long connection through Hradce.

Choose your accommodation according to the character of your trip

If you are looking for a hotel in Hradzen, you can first decide which aspect of the landscape should be the focus of your stay: mountain views, a marked trail, the summit rock on Kluk or a longer route. The options described differ in route, length and difficulty.
