The Church of Saint Procopius

The Church of Saint Procopius in Chyšky is originally Romanesque and preserves its Romanesque presbytery area, meaning the chancel of the church. However, its history also includes a profound turning point: in 1420, it was burned down by the Hussites and subsequently rebuilt. The building thus combines early Romanesque elements with a past shaped by upheaval and reconstruction.

The local church is described as the only major local monument in Chyšky. For visitors interested in culture, it is therefore a particularly natural starting point for getting to know the town not only as a landscape destination, but also through its history.
