Jevíčko combines a multifaceted urban history with walking trails, pilgrimage routes and excursion destinations in the Malá Haná region. Historic Buildings and Contemporary Culture

The present-day synagogue building in Jevíčko was built in 1792 and renovated in 1907. The former Jewish synagogue is now a place of worship for the Czechoslovak Hussite Church; exhibitions and concerts are also held there.

Another prominent building is the Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It was remodelled in the Baroque style between 1762 and 1766. Next to the church is the former Augustinian monastery, which was probably founded as early as 1370 by the Moravian Margrave Jan. The combination of the church and former monastery makes this part of the town particularly interesting for anyone who wants to experience not just individual buildings but also the layers of history that have developed over time during their stay.

Walks with Different Focal Points

The Městský okruh Jevíčko comprises seven stops with information boards. They describe the sights and historic sites in the respective surroundings. The circular trail thus offers a clearly structured way to engage with the town's history and its individual sites.

Another way to explore the town is the urban walking trail through the town's heritage conservation zone. It leads to historic sights and connects the route through the protected historic urban structure with specific destinations. The Bartolomějská pilgrimage route, in turn, connects the town of Jevíčko with the Chapel of St. Bartholomew and the sanatorium near Jevíčko.

Museum and Special Visiting Hours

For an additional cultural stop, you can include the collections of the Jevíčko Town Museum in your plans. They can also be visited outside opening hours by prior telephone appointment. This arrangement offers a specific way to schedule your museum visit at a different time during your stay, provided you make the appointment in advance.

Malá Haná, Cycling Trails and Žlíbka

Jevíčko is located in the northern part of the fertile Malá Haná region. The town is a partner in the Cyklookruhy project. It provides clear routes for road cycling and mountain biking tours, as well as tips on interesting destinations in Jevíčko and the surrounding area that can be visited along the routes.

The „Skrz Maló Hanó“ cycling route runs through the Malá Haná region and is designed around significant and memorable places. This allows you to choose between cycling tours with a regional focus and shorter explorations in the town when planning your day. Another option is the popular Žlíbka sports and leisure facility: it is within walking distance of the centre of Jevíčko. The facility, with its swimming pool and sports hall, is still actively used today.
