Panská zahrada: Park with an Altan and Playground

Panská zahrada is a park with several distinctive features. It includes an altan and a bust of Filip Kinský. The children’s playground adds a specific facility for children to the park. Church, Manor Brewery and Rychmburk Castle

The Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows is part of Předhradí’s cultural landmarks. It dates from 1753. The urban ensemble of Skuteč–Předhradí, which includes a Renaissance manor brewery, is also of interest. Alongside the church, this provides another historic building representing the town’s history and architectural heritage.

Rychmburk Castle offers a distinctive combination of history and personal activity. The original fortified outer-bailey area of the medieval castle features a preserved circuit of walls with bastions. The castle was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. Visitors can also climb the castle’s original 30-metre-high tower. Thus, the site brings together its medieval origins, preserved fortification elements and access to a high castle tower.

Údolí Krounky a Novohradky Nature Park

The cadastral area of Předhradí belongs to the Údolí Krounky a Novohradky Nature Park. The nature park preserves riparian vegetation along the watercourses. It also includes several habitats containing populations of specially protected plant and animal species. Alongside the watercourses and their vegetation, the area’s natural features therefore include various habitats as well as protected plants and animals. The nature park complements Předhradí’s historic attractions with a landscape area distinguished by its riverbanks and the diversity of its habitats.

Cycling Tour via Předhradí to Rychmburk Castle

For active days, the Borůvka–Předhradí (Rychmburk)–Luže (Košumberk) cycling trip is a specific option. The route leads into the lower part of Předhradí, where Rychmburk Castle is located. For the most part, the cycling trip follows cycle routes 8551, 4024 and 18. The route thus connects Borůvka, Předhradí and Luže (Košumberk) with the section near Rychmburk Castle. In addition to the destination in Předhradí, the cycling tour offers a designated connection via several cycle routes.
