Troubelice: Cycling, Hiking and Special Sacred Buildings

Troubelice combines several clearly described cycling routes with unusual cultural details and a hiking trail through the surrounding area. This creates a destination where active days and special discoveries can be combined: routes lead through Troubelice, the district of Dědinka and neighboring places; at the same time, the branch church of “Visitation of the Virgin Mary” and the Chapel of “St. Anthony of Padua” in Pískov reflect different architectural traditions.

Cycling through Troubelice and the Surrounding Area

Cycling Route 6031 begins at a connection to Cycling Route 6026 in Úsov and leads via Klopina, Veleboř, Lipinka and Nová Hradečná to Troubelice.

Another connection is Cycling Route 6032. It leads from a connection to Cycling Route 6028 in Uničov via Troubelice, Nová Hradečná, Dolní Libina and Oskava to the Rabštejn mountain hut. Cycling Route 6052 also uses Cycling Route 6028 as a connection, this time near Hlivice, and runs via Medlov, Troubelice and Šumvald to Dlouhá Loučka. These sequences of places allow you to identify different directions for planning your excursions without reducing the routes to a single loop.

In addition, the “Taste Moravia by Bike” cycling route passes through Troubelice and the district of Dědinka. With thirteen gastronomic stops, it adds a culinary aspect to the sporting route. The name of the route directly refers to the regional cuisine.

Hiking and Special Buildings

The “Through the Bradelský Forest Troubelice–Moravičany” hiking route begins at the “Troubelice, zastávka” railway stop. There, it is signposted with green tourist markings. It then continues via Pískov to the summit of Holubice. The green marking makes it easier to find your way at the starting point in Troubelice when preparing for an excursion on foot.

The branch church of “Visitation of the Virgin Mary” stands in Troubelice and was built in 1842–1844. Its interior was reconstructed; on May 29, 2016, a new stone altar and an ambo were consecrated there. The Chapel of “St. Anthony of Padua” in Pískov was built in 1884. Its nave has a vault made of cork panels. There are only two such buildings in Europe: one in Pískov and one at the Semmering Pass in Austria.

Troubelice is integrated into the KIDSOK integrated public transport system of the Olomouc Region; the IDSOK integrated transport system is being developed in the region.
