The name Samotišky first appears in a document issued by Bishop Jindřich Zdík of Olomouc in 1141. Another trace of the past came to light during the extraction of brick clay, when the remains of a Slavic settlement were discovered. For the Svatofloriánské hody held in May, the municipality has published a yearbook since 1994. Svobodný dvůr in Samotišky was probably built in the second half of the 16th century.
