Tichá brings together landscapes, local culture and vivid local history within a compact area. The town is located in the Podbeskydí Nature Park. An educational trail with five stations

The first educational trail in Tichá is the main attraction for exploring the town. It was ceremonially opened on 17 November 2012 and comprises five stations with information boards. The trail is complemented by several mini-stations marked with QR signs. The clear division into stations and mini-stations makes the route an independent experience within the exploration of the town: you can use the boards for orientation while taking in the various elements of the trail at your own pace.

Readings and a distinctive church history

The Tichá library also adds its own cultural accent. In summer, readings are held there regularly on Thursdays as part of the “3 pohádky ve 3” programme. This recurring offering complements the landscape experiences with an event focused on literature and gives the town another clearly recognisable facet.

The Church of St Nicholas is also part of Tichá’s history. On 13 August 1964, it was set alight by lightning and completely destroyed. In 1976, a new brick Church of St Nicholas was built on the same site as a modernly designed replacement for the original church. Stained glass as another cultural reference
