Třanovice brings together river landscapes, nature experiences and cultural traces within a compact area. The Stonávka flows from south to north through the centre of the village. Its banks are surrounded by remnants of floodplain forest and agriculturally used land – a landscape that reveals both the region’s natural history and its present-day use.

Discover nature: nature trail, floodplain and forest park

The surroundings can be explored particularly clearly along the “Za poznáním Třanovic” nature trail. It consists of three colour-coded sections and includes eleven stations with information panels as well as three interactive panels. During your stay, the trail therefore offers not only a way to explore the landscape but also concrete insights into its particular features.

Another stop for a relaxing exploration is the Lesopark u řeky Stonávky forest park. It has seven additional information panels, play elements for children and pleasant places to rest. Especially when holidaying with children, it is easy to incorporate the combination of learning, movement and a quieter break into your day here, without having to limit yourself to a single excursion destination.

The wildlife is also part of the character of the Stonávka floodplain. An estimated 60 to 65 bird species regularly breed in this area. Another 10 to 15 species use the floodplain only during migration. Those who perceive the landscape not merely as a backdrop but as a habitat will therefore find a remarkably tangible connection with nature in Třanovice.

Trails through the Stonávka area

For a broader exploration, there is the Hipostezka v Pobeskydí. It forms part of an approximately 30-kilometre network of Agrostezky trails in the microregion of the municipalities in the Stonávka river basin. The route starts in Horní Tošanovice, with branches towards Dolní Tošanovice and Třanovice. This connects Třanovice to a larger network of trails extending beyond the immediate village centre.

The former Kappl ponds at Mušalec are also among the landscape’s points of interest. They serve as new biotopes, particularly for amphibians. The historical name remains present alongside the areas’ current function as a habitat.

Cultural traces in Třanovice

Třanovice also has a cultural side connected with the person of Jiří Třanovský. The permanent exhibition at the Jiří Třanovský Memorial presents his life, work and legacy. At the same time, it shows their influence on culture, language and spirituality among the neighbouring Slavic peoples. There is also a statue of Jiří Třanovský in front of the entrance to the Protestant church.

A defining feature of the village is Kapplův dvůr, which returned to its traditional name after its revitalisation. The complex houses a gallery of renewable energy sources and the Green Centre educational centre. There, pupils take part in excursions focused on environmental education, environmental training and environmental awareness. For visitors wishing to combine nature, regional development and culture, this place offers an additional perspective on Třanovice.
