The building history also makes Ohnišov interesting. The Church of St. Cyril and Methodius was built by local residents themselves and consecrated on the last Sunday of October 1895. The church can be opened for visits by prior arrangement. It is therefore not a place whose sightseeing availability should simply be assumed at any time; rather, making an arrangement is part of planning a specific visit.

Another prominent reference point is the Masaryk School building, constructed in 1934. The Masaryk School is one of the two dominant buildings in Ohnišov. Together with the church, it reflects the local development and gives the village a tangible historical dimension distinct from its hiking and cycling opportunities.
