Vojkovice – Village Green, Elbe Lowlands and Cycle Route No. 2

The first written record of the village of Vojkovice as “villa Voykouici” dates from 1088. At that time, King Vratislav II donated the village to the newly established Vyšehrad Chapter. The original village center around the village green has been well preserved to this day. Large agricultural farmsteads stand in the north, while smaller buildings are found in the south, probably shaped by the parcelling carried out during the Raab reforms in the 18th century.
