Milostín Between Hop-Growing Tradition and Landscape

Milostín combines a documented hop-growing tradition with an agricultural landscape and several distinct cultural and natural themes. Buildings and Memorial Sites

The Church of the Archangel Michael is a detached building made of stone and brick masonry, with a three-sided chancel. A projecting tower stands in front of the southwestern façade. The memorial to American pilot William Hoelscher recalls that the pilot of the 4th Fighter Group of the 8th U.S. Air Force was rescued by Czech patriots on April 25, 1945, after parachuting from his damaged Mustang over Milostín. The registered landscape feature V Hané is the spring area of the Lišanský stream, with moisture-loving meadow communities and populations of the European globeflower. Hop fields are part of Milostín’s agricultural landscape. In contrast to the spring area with its wet meadow communities and European globeflowers, the fields represent agricultural use. Nature observation here therefore encompasses wet meadows and plant populations alongside regional hop cultivation.

Training and a Dated Children’s Activity

The Sokol group’s training program in Milostín includes yoga, trampoline training, and Tabata. For families interested in a children’s activity scheduled for a specific date, an Easter trail with creative workshops for children was also listed at the Sokolovna for April 4, 2026. These different formats make the Sokolovna a place where sports and family-oriented events are documented. Yoga, trampoline training, and Tabata represent different forms of exercise.
