Dobročovice – Village Square, Pond and History

Dobročovice is a place whose character is particularly evident in the village square: Dobročovický Pond forms its central feature, while the Chapel of St Isidore stands on its southern side beside the main road. Before 1415, Bohuslav, the son of Prokop of Prague, acquired the Dobročovice fortress. After 1426, Bohuslav lived in the fortress until around 1465. These historically traceable stages give a visit to the village a historical dimension without reducing Dobročovice to a single building.

Stone Bridge and Village Pond

Another distinctive feature is a stone, two-arched bridge. It is located on the road leading northwest, at the Výmola stream. In Dobročovice, you therefore encounter different historical aspects of the village: the village square with the chapel and pond on one side, and the bridge over the stream on the other.
