Discover Kojcice: Village Green, Hejlovka and Marked Trails

Kojčice combines a distinctive village character with marked trails, waterscapes and noteworthy individual attractions. The village green, the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk and the route along the Hejlovka give the village different facets. If you want to combine nature experiences, cycling and a cultural discovery on your trip, Kojčice offers several clearly described starting points for doing so.

Village Green and Distinctive Village Center

Kojčice was laid out as a circular settlement with a pond on the village green. The Návesák pond is the most important visual landmark on the village green in Kojčice. This combination makes the village center a clearly recognizable part of the destination: water and the settlement’s form are directly connected to the local character here.

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk provides a distinctive cultural landmark. In Kojčice, it is considered a historically and architecturally valuable building as well as an important architectural landmark. The village also has an unusual connection to film history: In the Czech film comedy Marečku, podejte mi pero!, the parents of the student Plha live in Kojčice.

Hiking along the Hejlovka

A marked red hiking route runs through the center of Kojčice from north to southwest. For a more landscape-oriented tour, the route Podél řeky Hejlovky na vyhlídku begins at the edge of Kojčice. It follows a red-marked hiking trail and leads to a rocky viewpoint above the Hejlovka River.

The longer version of this route continues to the Sedlická Reservoir. Parking is available on the outskirts of Kojčice for the route. From Pelhřimov, it can be reached by car as far as Kojčice and then on foot.

Cycling, Outdoor Swimming Pool and Fishing Area

Kojčice is also connected to a marked network of trails for cycling tours. Cycle Route 1223 runs through the cadastral area of Kojčice. The cycling tour Od sedlické nádrže na Křemešník passes through Kojčice, U Šlejferků and the Na Vyhlídce crossroads.

Outside the built-up area in the direction of Vadčice, Kojčice has a natural outdoor swimming pool. The water-related offerings also include the HEJLOVKA 1 fishing area (421 022). It stretches from the weir of the Břečovský Mill before the inflow into the Sedlická Reservoir to the body of the Svárovský Mill weir in the cadastral area of Kojčice. The different destinations thus range from the village pond via the river landscape to the reservoir, complementing the trails with another landscape perspective.
