One specific way to experience Malý Beranov and its surroundings is the documented Maloberanovský Čochtan circuit. It starts and ends in Malý Beranov, passes through Petrovice, Puklice, Studénky and Kosov, and is 13 km long. The circuit connects four other places with the starting and finishing point of Malý Beranov. The Maloberanovský Čochtan itself is a traditional spring hiking march; the 2026 edition was already its 50th running.

In addition, a red-marked hiking trail runs along the Jihlava from Malý Beranov towards Kamenný mlýn and Předboř. Another hiking trail around the village passes rock formations used by climbers.

Church, Bridge and Lively Local Festivities

The Church of the Divine Heart of the Lord is part of the village's history. It was built and consecrated on 8 October 1939; its construction was financed exclusively through donations. Another historical trace is a stone bridge built between 1554 and 1556. The bridge's construction therefore dates significantly earlier than the construction of the church in 1939.

The local events also give Malý Beranov its own character. The Masopustní průvod takes place annually and ends at the cultural centre. The Maloberanovské slavnosti programme includes children's competitions, various attractions and refreshments; in the evening, a rock concert by the group Vokrock follows.
