Kvasetice Chateau and the Burial Chapel

Kvasetice Chateau was built in 1864 in the neo-Gothic style. Another notable structure is the burial chapel of the Schmidt family in Květinov. It is also neo-Gothic and dedicated to the Holy Cross. Marie Schmidtová had the chapel built in 1888 in memory of her deceased husband, JUDr. Zdenko Schmidt, and her daughter Valérie.

An underground family crypt is located beneath the chapel. It can be reached via a stone spiral staircase and is secured by an iron door. It is precisely this combination of visible architecture, personal family history and hidden interior space that makes the chapel a particularly distinctive historical point of reference in Květinov.

The Květinovský Mlýn Mill on the Úsobský Stream

The mill is already shown on military maps from 1764–1768 and 1836–1852. Its history therefore reaches back through several historical mapping periods, without this implying any present-day use or regular visitor operations.

Those interested in rural technology have a specific opportunity to visit it: the hydroelectric installation at the Květinovský Mlýn, with its Francis turbine and water wheel, can be visited by arrangement with the owner. The appointment is therefore expressly subject to prior agreement.

The memorial to the victims of the First World War in Květinov was renovated after the original eagle was stolen and subsequently replaced. In Radňov, another monument commemorates the victims of collectivization. It consists of a three-tiered stone pedestal, an iron cross with a gilded figure of Christ, a memorial plaque and a plough.

The inscription and design of the monument in Radňov refer to the disenfranchisement and suffering of farmers under communist rule from 1948–1989. This historical focus is complemented by two personal memorial markers: The Václav Hojer Monument commemorates the local school principal and municipal chronicler. A memorial plaque for Bedřich Hojer commemorates a local landowner who was forcibly expelled from the area with his family in the 1950s.
