Loučná: Hiking, Nature and Culture

Loučná combines experiences in nature with an unusually rich cultural background. Hiking trails lead through protected landscapes, while the Loučná Chapel and the local traditions associated with it add a distinctive historical dimension. The Chapel and Local Tradition

The Loučná Chapel is a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. It was built in 1799 in the late Baroque style and fully reconstructed in 2004. Historically, it was once a pilgrimage site associated with Osek Monastery. Loučná is also connected with the story of Hans Krawath. According to local legend, he lived in Loučná; the cave near Osek now known as Krawatova Cave is associated with him.
