Cultural Monuments in Lišnice

Lišnice Castle is registered as a protected immovable cultural monument. Within the administrative district of Most (ORP Most), Lišnice has the highest concentration of cultural monuments. The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Lišnice is a Baroque building dating from 1717. The cultural spectrum therefore ranges from the protected castle to a clearly dated religious building.

The Lišnice brewery, including its beer cellars, is also part of an ensemble of heritage interest. The granary with a coat of arms is listed as a cultural heritage object in Lišnice. The village square features the Baroque Calvary sculpture group from 1741, which is protected as a monument. These individual buildings and works of art provide several historical points of reference within the village.

Historical Traces with a Clear Limitation

The former Early Gothic fortress in Lišnice is a building constructed entirely of stone, with a gabled roof. Before the castle was completed, it served as the main seat of the village. It is not accessible to visitors and is used by the municipal office. For your planning, it is therefore important to distinguish between a historically significant building and an actually accessible visitor destination.

Landscape and Geological Features

The surroundings of Nemilkovský rybník are among the three landscape areas in the municipality of Lišnice described as valuable. Another focus is at Skyřice-Lišnice: the Porcelainite locality comprises outcrops and exposures of thin remnants of the productive Tertiary. These have been thermally metamorphosed and deposited on tuffites. The geological locality lies approximately 1 km north of Lišnice and is classified as a geological locality recommended for protection. Unlike the buildings and works of art in the village, the focus here is not on local history but on the geological character of the locality. For those interested in natural history, this place therefore offers a distinctly different experience from the historic buildings.

Planning Information for 2026

Road III/2507 before Bečov in the direction of Volevčice was scheduled to be completely closed from spring to autumn 2026 due to the reconstruction of the road bridge. Bus route 545 was subject to an operational interruption from 16 March to 31 October 2026.
