A cultural landmark is the Památník Velké Moravy memorial. It is a sandstone structure with two statues depicting the Slavic apostles Cyril and Methodius; there is a cross-shaped opening between the statues. The memorial rises above Strachotín and offers a beautiful view of Pálava. The Kostel sv. Oldřicha church was built in the 13th century and is one of the oldest Gothic churches in the Břeclav District. Boží muka also points to the history of the place: the reconstructed wayside shrine stands before Strachotín on the road to Hustopeče, near the turn-off to a dirt road towards Popice. Boží muka was added to the state register of immovable monuments in 1958.

Protected Landscape at Věstonická nádrž

The Věstonická nádrž nature reserve also extends into Strachotín. It protects an important aquatic and wetland ecosystem, as well as specially protected plant and animal species. Alongside the buildings, an ecologically valuable landscape is therefore one of the defining features of Strachotín. Wine Cellars and a Set Date

On Sklepní ulice in Strachotín, near a pond, there are around 92 wine cellars that are more than 200 years old. The wine tradition is also reflected in the event “Za burčákem do Strachotína”: the 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday, 19 September 2026.
