The landscape is also characterised by the Nynek multifunctional water reservoir. It serves to retain water in the landscape and protect against flooding. Its documented function clearly distinguishes it from the two protected areas: the focus here is not a particular plant community, but water management and flood protection.

Bell Tower, Chapel and Local History

The bell tower in Nenkovice was built in 1912. It features sgraffiti created by the academic painter Jano Kóhler. The building therefore combines its specific year of construction with an artistic design that gives the site its own cultural and historical significance.

Another prominent cultural landmark is the Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Nenkovice. It was created by converting a former funeral hall and was consecrated on 20 July 1997 by Vicar General Jiří Mikulášek. The chapel also features a Stations of the Cross ensemble created in 2014 by the woodcarver Josef Zelinka from Šitbořice.

The chapel is also associated with a pilgrimage held on the Sunday following the Feast of the Assumption (15 August). The first mention of Nenkovice dates back to 1341, making it considerably older than the buildings and artworks.
