Another way to approach Křižanovice is through archaeology. Člupy–Zámeček is a significant archaeological site in the cadastral area of Křižanovice u Bučovic. The site comprises an oval fortified settlement with a double rampart and a ditch. As a fortified hilltop settlement, Člupy–Zámeček is dated to the Early Bronze Age and the Late Hallstatt period.

Člupy Nature Monument

The nearby Člupy Nature Monument provides a counterpoint to the archaeological focus. It covers 17.5939 hectares of dry meadows and Pannonian loess steppe grasslands, where endangered plant and animal species occur. This landscape has its own distinct character, clearly different from the buildings and settlement history.
