Všemyslice: Nature Trail, Views and History

The facility includes a run-of-river power station with two horizontal Kaplan turbine sets and an installed capacity of 2 × 1.9 MW, as well as a lock chamber. The Chapel of St. Anne is located at the mouth of the Bohunický stream, at the confluence of the Vltava and Lužnice rivers, and adds a small, independent cultural feature to the landscape.

Nature Trail and Observation Tower

For walks, the “Za neznašovským kohoutem” nature trail is a good option. The approximately 5.5-kilometer circular route leads around Neznašov and has 12 information panels about cultural, natural and technical attractions. Its starting point is on the village square in Neznašov. The route also includes a rocky viewpoint overlooking the confluence of the Lužnice and Vltava rivers. In this way, the trail combines nature observation and local history without focusing on just one subject.

Another destination for views is the Vysoký Kamýk tower. It stands on the 627-meter-high summit of Vysoký Kamýk. The tower itself is 33 meters high, while the entire structure reaches 46 meters. Access begins at the edge of the forest near Všeteč and follows a green-marked hiking trail to the tower. Unlike the nature trail, this site focuses on a single viewing destination, while the circular route around Neznašov connects cultural, natural and technical attractions. On the nature trail, a rocky viewpoint overlooking the confluence of the Lužnice and Vltava rivers forms part of the route; at Vysoký Kamýk, the observation platform is the main focus. The platform was opened to the public on May 1, 2012.

Jewish Cemetery and Local History

The Jewish cemetery in Neznašov is located in the cadastral area of Všemyslice near Kukle Forest. There are approximately 250 gravestones in the cemetery. Most date from the 19th century, predominantly from its second half. The site provides a quiet historical accent alongside the natural and technical themes of the surrounding area.
