Včelná – Forest, Trails and History

Včelná is a place for travelers who want to combine nature experiences with small historical discoveries. It was built in 1900 by the family of Karla Černý and the Vycpálků family from Plzeň.

Guardhouse No. 3 is also historically interesting. Counted from the northernmost point of the Czech section of the horse railway, it is the second guardhouse still preserved today. Včelná’s origins date back to 1784: the settlement arose spontaneously along the new imperial road from Budějovice to Linz. These details give the town a clearly recognizable historical profile, without reducing Včelná to a single period.

Transport and leisure activities on site

The Včelná railway station is relevant for arrival, as it lies on line 196 between České Budějovice and Summerau. Včelná is also within the area served by the city’s public transport.
