Lippen is situated on the left bank of Lake Lipno, near its dam, and is surrounded by the landscape of the Bohemian Forest. The original settlement was flooded during the construction of the Lipno Dam and replaced by a new holiday resort. This local history makes a stay by the water an encounter with the development of the landscape as well. The Lipno nad Vltavou harbour is situated behind a projection of the shoreline when heading from the beach towards the dam. The harbour's location provides a concrete point of orientation for moving along the shore without limiting the different water-based experiences to a single activity.

Cycling Routes with Different Profiles

Lipno Bike Park has a 1.8-kilometre blue trail and a more difficult 1.2-kilometre red trail with an elevation difference of 180 metres. The facilities are intended for children aged 8 and over, as well as beginners and more experienced riders. Singletrack Lipno, by contrast, is a 5-kilometre cycling route through the forest designed specifically for families and children. It runs mainly downhill over rollers and through steeply banked turns; the cable car takes you back uphill.

For a longer route by the water, the 21-kilometre Jezerní inline trail runs along the shore of Lake Lipno. This allows you to choose between short Bike Park trails with varying profiles, a family-oriented forest route and a long lakeside route. Differences in length, gradient and trail character help you plan the active part of the day according to your own preferences.

Království lesa includes cableways, rope structures, tree towns, climbing frames, swings, castles and fortifications, carousels, sandpits and slides. Fox Park is a 120-metre-long practice area at the lower station of the Lipno Express cable car. Its features include three conveyor belts and themed slalom courses. Janusovská Lampa adds a cultural highlight: the 365-centimetre-high sculpture by Milan Doubrava is a landmark of Lipno nad Vltavou.
