Šebířov combines a remarkable connection with nature with small, characterful buildings and a documented cycling circuit. The Vlašimská Blanice Natural Monument extends into the cadastral area of Šebířov. Those who wish to combine landscapes, village history and physical activity when planning their trip will find several clearly distinct points of interest here. The combination of natural surroundings, sacred architecture and sporting activity makes the village a destination where different ways of spending the day can be combined.

Church and Chapel as Defining Buildings

The Church of Saint Gall, with its cemetery, mortuary chapel and surrounding wall, is considered a cultural monument. The originally medieval church preserves parts of the oldest sacred complex, including the surrounding wall of the nave and the western part of the presbytery. These surviving elements make the building’s long history legible in its fabric. The church stands on an enclosed elevation and is an important architectural and urban landmark of the municipality of Šebířov. The cemetery, surrounding wall and elevated location are just as much part of its appearance as the church building itself.

The village chapel of Šebířov offers another distinctive architectural detail. It has an octagonal floor plan and a pyramidal roof topped by a small bell turret. The chapel was probably built around the middle of the 19th century. Its geometric form and roof structure clearly distinguish it from the originally medieval church. Thus, Šebířov brings together different historical building forms without limiting a visit to a single building. Cycling Circuit and Sports Ground

The “At the End of the World” cycling circuit passes through Šebířov and the Vlašimská Blanice Natural Monument. The route therefore connects the village and the protected natural area in a single outing. The circuit is estimated to take three hours. This duration provides a clear framework for planning the day and distinguishes the circuit from shorter or longer excursion plans. The starting point can be reached by car or bus, allowing travel to the beginning of the circuit to be included in the planning.

The multipurpose sports ground offers another option for active recreation. It is located in Šebířov by the building of the former kindergarten No. 77 and in the immediate vicinity of a grass football pitch. Admission to the multipurpose sports ground is free; users are asked to submit a reservation form. Posts and nets for volleyball, tennis, nohejbal and badminton are available. The various facilities bring several ball sports together in one clearly designated place and complement the cycling circuit with a second form of physical activity. This allows you to choose between a longer route through nature and the village and sporting activity on the court.
