The tour of the Metternich Crypt mainly takes visitors to the family crypt and provides information about St. Wenceslas Church and the Metternich family. The Baroque granary building contains a two-storey Early Gothic chapel dedicated to St. Wenceslas and St. Mary Magdalene. It also features a 47-metre-high tower with a monumental Baroque clock mechanism dating from 1686. The combination of chapel, tower and clock mechanism gives the tour a clear focus on architectural history. The contrast between the Early Gothic chapel and the Baroque clock mechanism juxtaposes different historical styles.

Educational Trail with Nature and History

The Naučná stezka Plasy educational trail is 3.25 kilometres long and includes nine information boards. It covers natural and historical features. The trail includes a workbook with a route map and descriptions of the information boards. Multiple-choice questions and additional activities for children supplement the materials. This means that the route can be planned not only according to its length but also according to its thematic stations. The combination of route, information boards and workbook makes the educational trail an activity where exercise and independent discovery go hand in hand.

Technological History to See and Try

The permanent construction exhibition of the National Technical Museum in Plasy leads through the entire grounds of the former brewery. The construction play area at the National Technical Museum offers a different approach: visitors of all ages can use wooden blocks to experiment with their own constructions. A model of Plasy Monastery also allows visitors to recreate various historical phases in the development of the site. The exhibition provides the historical context, while the construction play area makes the same location accessible through visitors’ own constructions and the monastery model.

Zoo and Landscape Around Plasy

At Plasy Zoo, visitors can feed raccoons, coatis and lemurs. Mount Berdovna is located in the area around Plasy. The nearby surroundings include Lazy Hill [Plasy-Babina], Na Hůrce Hill [Plasy-Žebnice] and Spálená hora Hill [Plasy - Babina].

The wider regional area around Plasy includes Týřov Castle Ruins, Zřícenina Lina Castle Ruins, Svatý Martin Church and “Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral” Church.
