Educational Trails and Paths with Specific Destinations

The Království přírodních sil educational trail leads through six stations featuring playful and educational elements. It runs uphill along the ski slope and is approximately 700 m long, overcoming an elevation difference of 100 m. The trail is particularly engaging because it combines physical activity with individual stations, making not only the route itself but also the information along the way part of the experience.

At Zemská brána, you can also follow a 3 km-long educational trail suitable for families. Here, the path is combined with a distinctive structure: the stone bridge at Zemská brána connects České Petrovice and Bartošovice. From the endpoint of the Království přírodních sil educational trail at the lookout tower station, you can continue on foot to Kašparova chata.

Another hiking option is the yellow “Petrovická” route, which begins in the center of České Petrovice at a starting point with an information board. It is moderately difficult and runs along both Class III/3112 and Class II/311 roads, as well as field and forest paths.

České Petrovice Sports Area for Summer and Winter

The České Petrovice Sports Area expands the range of activities beyond traditional hiking. In summer, it offers an adventure zone with an inflatable obstacle course, trampolines, summer tubing, water tubing, Zameták and a newly added paddling pool. Mountain cart rides can also be booked.

The same sports area also houses a ski and snowboard equipment rental shop directly below the ski slope. The range includes more than 100 equipment sets of various types, lengths and sizes, including equipment for children. The service facility sharpens and waxes skis and also offers a full service. A ski and snowboard school with a long tradition is also part of the sports area. Evening skiing is available on selected days; this specific option is particularly interesting for you if you do not want to end the day with the last daylight.

Views and Small Sights

Rozhledna Amálka is a freely accessible observation platform on the roof of a wooden ski bar at the upper edge of the České Petrovice Sports Area. The platform is approximately 7 m high and can be reached via 34 steps. From the upper viewing basket, it offers views of the Orlické Mountains and Poland. The viewpoint can therefore be planned as a destination in its own right or as an additional highlight in the vicinity of the sports area.

Cultural destinations are also part of the area’s attractions. The original building of the Catholic Church Kostel sv. Petra a Pavla dates from 1734 and is dedicated to the Apostles Peter and Paul. Kaple na Adamu is a small stone chapel at the edge of the forest on Adam Hill, near the ski lift in České Petrovice. Both buildings offer a different focus from the sports and hiking activities, giving a stay a historical or tranquil dimension.
