The first written record of Rohovládova Bělá dates from 1282. It concerns the founding of a wooden chapel dedicated to St. George, built by the owners of the Bukůvková fortress. This early reference gives the local history a specific starting point: not an age described in general terms, but the chapel and its builders at the time mark the beginning of the documented development.

Another important turning point was the fire in 1750. It damaged the centre of the village and, among other things, the wooden church and its bell tower at the time. In 1768, the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul acquired its present form. Rohovládova Bělá is therefore home to a Neo-Renaissance church whose history is closely connected with changes in the village.

The Church and Monuments in the Village Centre

The Church of St. Peter and Paul is one of the clearest cultural landmarks in Rohovládova Bělá. In front of the church, in the village centre, stands a monument to the victims of the First World War. During a walk, you will also encounter a stone cross, a monument to the fallen and a monument to the Guardian Angel. These objects represent different forms of commemoration and give the village several clearly identifiable historical points of reference.
