Rejvíz: Moorland, Nature Trail and Mountains

Rejvíz is a destination for travelers who want to combine experiencing nature, physical activity and regional history. At its heart is the Rejvíz moorland with the nature trail leading to Velké mechové jezírko. The surrounding area also offers mountains, preserved rural wooden architecture and destinations such as the ruins of Edelštejn. Moorland and nature reserve

Rejvíz is one of the four national nature reserves in the Jeseníky Mountains. The moorland formed approximately 6,000 to 7,000 years ago. The Rejvíz moorland is also home to the nationally significant moss šikoušek zelený. This natural area therefore combines a long history of formation with distinctive plant life. Nature trail to Velké mechové jezírko

The Rejvíz nature trail begins at Penzion Rejvíz and leads along a corduroy path to Velké mechové jezírko. There are 14 information boards or stations along the trail. You can therefore experience the visit as a series of individual discoveries rather than simply heading for a single destination. From Velké mechové jezírko, the same path leads back to Penzion Rejvíz. Alternatively, you can continue along the blue trail toward Jeseník.

Mountains, castles and rural wooden architecture

There are several landscape and cultural destinations outside the moorland as well. Zámecký pahorek and Zámecký vrch are located in the immediate vicinity of Rejvíz. Příčný vrch and Orlík are located in the surrounding area of Rejvíz. The ruins of Edelštejn are also in the surrounding area. In the wider regional area lies Otmuchów Castle - Zamek. These destinations are located at different distances from Rejvíz: Zámecký pahorek and Zámecký vrch in the immediate vicinity, Příčný vrch, Orlík and Edelštejn in the surrounding area, and Otmuchów - Zamek in the wider regional area. Rejvíz also has preserved rural wooden architecture, dating predominantly from the 19th century.
