The nature trails in Mřičná are accessible on foot, by bicycle and with a stroller. Benches, play elements, and educational and discovery quizzes complement the routes. The red nature trail runs along the upper edge of the village and offers views of Mřičná and the Krkonoše Mountains. It also presents the history of the municipality, significant events, buildings, personalities, associations and sights of the Krkonoše Mountains.

The yellow nature trail leads behind the swimming pool toward Strážník. Its focus is on domestic and wild animals, insects, birds, fish and amphibians. The green nature trail leads toward Delišov and Strážník; it covers plants, fruit, herbs, trees, crops and minerals. The blue nature trail runs through the forest toward the airfield and provides information about natural phenomena and natural features.

Exercise and Discoveries Around the Swimming Pool

The swimming pool grounds include a freely accessible multi-purpose sports court. There are also fitness equipment, a workout area, a climbing structure for children and air trampolines. The green-and-yellow circular route leads to the Večerníček swing and offers views of the Krkonoše Mountains. The multi-purpose sports court and the facilities on the swimming pool grounds have a different focus from the themed nature trails: exercise, play and a viewpoint complement the natural and historical themes there.

Church, Bell and Village Centre

The Church of Saint Catherine was built in 1716. Its tower was completed in 1787 with a decorated cupola and lantern. The tower houses a bell cast in 1484 for the church in Mřičná. A concert is held in the church every autumn. In the village centre stands a statue of Saint Wenceslas, consecrated in 1909. The Smiřično fortification site from the 14th century is an archaeological site in Mřičná.

Krkonoše History and Local Dining

Jan Buchar, who was born in Mřičná, became known as a recognised expert on the Krkonoše Mountains. He was also a committed promoter of tourism and skiing in the Krkonoše Mountains. A local complement to nature and culture is Hospoda Buranka: it is open at weekends and offers simple but honest home cooking, chilled Plzeň and Radegast beer, and homemade lemonades.
