Cihelny

Cihelny combines a distinctive villa, golf, wellness and protected landscape within an unusually compact thematic setting. In addition, there is a specific hiking route from the Cihelny stop to the Svatošské skály. A villa with a clear historical classification

Villa Château Cihelny was built in 1890 based on designs by the Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer. Architecturally, Château Cihelny is striking, but its name should not lead to a false classification: it is a villa, not an actual château. This distinction makes the site particularly interesting if you would like to view historical architecture not only through dates, but also through its specific form and use.

Golf and wellness as different ways to spend the day

Golf is a particular focus here. The Cihelny Golf & Wellness Resort has a professional 18-hole golf course with a par of 70. The Gary Player Course in Cihelny was created by the Gary Player Design Company. The golf course also includes a putting green and a chipping green. At the driving range, beginners can practise tee shots and putting; clubs are provided free of charge. This means that, in addition to playing on the course, first practical steps and practising individual techniques are documented parts of the offering.

For a more relaxing way to spend the day, the Château Cihelny wellness centre is available. It includes a swimming pool overlooking nature, a whirlpool, a Kneipp path and three saunas: a steam sauna, a salt sauna and a Finnish sauna. The wellness centre is also open to the public. You can therefore choose between golf, practice facilities and wellness, giving your day different focuses without reducing the location to just one type of holiday.

Slavkovský les and Moučné pytle

Château Cihelny is located in the Slavkovský les Protected Landscape Area. The protected surroundings are not merely a general landscape backdrop but can be experienced through a specific natural monument. Moučné pytle is a protected natural monument in Slavkovský les and protects the block disintegration of granite. This refers to the natural division of the rock into individual blocks, which gives the landscape its characteristic forms.

The Moučné pytle locality lies approximately 2 km west of Cihelny in the Teplá valley. It comprises a series of granite outcrops and rocky cliffs, some of which are up to 7 m high. For your stay, this creates a contrast between the designed offerings around the villa, golf and wellness and a landscape whose distinctive character is visible in its rock formations and cliffs.

Route and transport connections

From the Cihelny stop, a yellow-marked tourist route leads 3.5 km, with an elevation difference of 140 m, to the Svatošské skály. The route is an independent hiking option and should not be confused with the Moučné pytle locality. For getting there, it is also relevant that Cihelny railway station is integrated into the public transport system. The stop and the railway station should be regarded as different starting points.
