In 2026, the traditional fair of folk crafts in Zdobín was held for the 20th time. The local history is also closely connected with trades. In 1261, Zdobín belonged to the property of the Teutonic Order. An entry from 1657 reports that Zdobín was burned to the ground during the Thirty Years' War. In the 19th century, domestic weaving was widespread, with kalmuk fabric being woven. The pearl maker Josef Kynčl, who trained in Vienna, began working as a pearl maker in Zdobín in 1862. Around 1900, pearl production reached its greatest flourishing; pearls were blown in every house. In 1931, the production of glass Christmas ornaments replaced the previously declining pearl industry.
