At that time, archaeologists discovered in Polepy the largest burial ground of the Únětice culture in the Kolínsko area. Polepy also contains significant traces of this Early Bronze Age culture, dated to approximately 1800 BC. Taken together, these details create a historical profile extending from Neolithic settlement through the Bronze Age to the first written mention.
