Poštovice is home to the protected summer oak “Poštovický dub letní”, as well as the “Švehlova lípa” lime tree. The combination of paths, meadows, fields, and pond gives an outing several different landscape impressions. Chapel and Historic Village Scenes

The chapel in Poštovice was built in 1849 and completely reconstructed in 2003. Its bell tower features a sundial. The village’s history is therefore represented both by the year it was built and by its later reconstruction, complemented by a striking detail on the tower.

The monument to the fallen stands in Poštovice’s village square. It is a significant structure that documents the historical development of the area. Farmstead No. 7 in the southern part of Poštovice is also considered a significant historic building with this documented importance. Together, the two sites broaden the perspective beyond individual architectural forms to encompass the development of the area.

Further traces date back to the Roman Imperial period: a grave was discovered in 1900 during road construction work between Poštovice and Zlonice. South of Poštovice, in the direction of Tmáň, lies the site known as “Na kazatelně”. Locals once met there with former evangelical clergy who preached at this location.

Distinctive Details in the Village

The village scene also includes the Baroque statue of Saint Donatus. It stands on a prismatic pedestal with a strongly profiled cornice; the year 1724 is inscribed on the pedestal. A butchers’ guild sign can be found on the historic house of the former well-known U Čtrnáctých inn. The Baroque form, the year 1724, and the guild sign create three different focal points: religious art, a precisely dated detail, and a trace of the butchery trade. When exploring the village, these smaller details complement the chapel, monument, and Farmstead No. 7 with further specific points of interest. At the statue, the form, pedestal, and year can be viewed together; the guild sign highlights the butchery trade as a historical motif.

Road II/239 is important for geographical orientation: it runs through Poštovice and leads from Louny and Peruc to Černuc and Velvary.
