Pňov-Předhradí – Floodplain Forest, Educational Trail and Cultural History

Pňov-Předhradí combines a distinctive river landscape with a diverse educational trail and well-documented cultural history. At its heart is Pňovský luh: a natural area on the left bank of the Elbe, extending along the eastern edge of Pňov-Předhradí and covering approximately 187 hectares. The Pňovský luh educational trail is 8.5 kilometers long and has 11 stations. The trail also includes nine information boards, two interactive boards and three benches. At 8.5 kilometers, the route is a substantial exploration section in its own right within the natural area. The eleven stations provide clearly recognizable stopping points along the way. The nine information boards and two interactive boards offer different ways to orient yourself, while the three benches provide opportunities for a short break. Church and local history

The cultural history of Pňov-Předhradí can also be discovered through specific buildings and local features. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Předhradí was built in 1775 and consecrated in 1780. It is listed in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic under number 33211/2–1921. The name of the municipality of Pňov-Předhradí derives from its location below Oldříš Castle. In this way, local history complements the focus on nature with a historical connection directly linked to the municipality's name.
