Discover Krchleby: Chapel, Local History and Trails

If you are looking for a Czech village with visible history and specific discoveries, Krchleby offers several unusual points of interest. Chapel and medieval village structure

The pseudo-Renaissance Chapel of the Guardian Angel was built by the Čermák couple in 1904 at their own expense. It stands approximately in the middle of Krchleby and thus serves as a clear landmark within the village. Krchleby is probably a high-medieval green village with a semicircular village green surrounding the Klobuš stream. A green village is a settlement form in which buildings are grouped around a communal open space. The municipality’s administrative area also contains the “Na Husově” archaeological site.

Watercourse, biocorridor and paths

The Klobuš stream flows through Krchleby. A biocorridor with existing riverside vegetation of willows and alders runs along the stream. This combination of watercourse, village green and riverside vegetation makes the landscape interesting both as part of the village’s history and as a subject for exploration in its own right. In addition to agricultural use, the field paths in Krchleby are used as tourist trails and cycling routes. The tenth edition included demonstrations of basket weaving, spinning, weaving, pottery and other traditional crafts.
