A record from 1437 mentions a fortress with an estate farm in Morkovice, the town with the Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist, as well as ponds and forests. This historical tradition describes the town in an earlier period and should not be equated with present-day offerings.

Morkovice Chateau is also part of the town's history, but it is not open to the public. Parts of the Gothic structure have been preserved in the building, particularly the cellar areas and the enclosing masonry of the ground floor in the north and east wings.
