Radešínská Svratka
Accommodation in Radešínská Svratka
Radešínská Svratka combines a historic villagescape with a landscape in which the valley along the Bobrůvka stream plays a central role. Those who want to combine culture, nature and a child-friendly activity during their stay will find several clearly distinct points of interest here: a listed historic building, wet meadows and riverside vegetation, as well as a circular tour through smaller communities in the surrounding area.
Culture around St. Wenceslas
Today’s Empire-style Church of St. Wenceslas stands on the site of a Gothic church from the 14th century, which was demolished in 1805. The present building was constructed in 1806. At the same time, the church is a listed historic building. The term Empire refers to a style of the early 19th century and explains the designation of the present church building. The interval between the demolition of the Gothic predecessor and the construction of the present building is one year.
The events calendar also includes special occasions. The “National Exhibition – Day of Czech Fleckvieh” on 17 September 2026 in Radešínská Svratka includes the judging of the animals by renowned independent foreign judges. Radešínská Svratka was also scheduled to serve as a pre-stage of the XXVI Pilgrimage on Foot to Velehrad on 16 August 2026. The exhibition date on 17 September follows, chronologically, the pre-stage scheduled for 16 August. The two dates show different sides of the village: agricultural tradition on the one hand and the religious character of a pilgrimage on foot on the other.
The Bobrůvka Valley as a Landscape Experience
The valley along the Bobrůvka stream is a key element of the ecological stability system of the local landscape. In parts of the valley, there is continuous, well-developed riverside vegetation; wet meadows lie beside the valley. The stream, its riverside vegetation and the adjacent wet meadows thus form a spatial sequence.
A Circular Tour for Active Family Days
A specific way to explore the surroundings by bicycle is offered by the “Bobrová around Kalvárie Hill” circular tour. It follows side roads with lighter traffic and is also suitable for older children. The route passes through smaller communities in the vicinity of Bobrová and Radešínská Svratka, as well as through the Bobrůvka area. In addition to Bobrová and Radešínská Svratka, the Bobrůvka area is also part of the route description. It is precisely this combination of quieter roads, several smaller villages and the Bobrůvka landscape that distinguishes the tour from a simple village walk.
Bus route 842119 operates between Žďár nad Sázavou, Jámy, Radešínská Svratka, Mirošov and Moravec. In the sequence of stops, Radešínská Svratka lies between Jámy and Mirošov.
