Hradiště

Hradiště combines archaeological history with signposted hiking trails and an observation tower offering extensive views across the landscape. The Hradišťský vrch hill is particularly distinctive: it contains a significant archaeological site located 500 metres north-northwest of the village of Hradiště. The Baroque Trinity ensemble in Hradiště dates from 1764 and is considered an example of the Throne of Grace depiction originating from the Lower Austrian pilgrimage site of Sonntagberg. Since 1958, the Trinity column ensemble has been protected as a historic monument.

The settlement of Hradiště near Kaplice was first mentioned in 1368.
