Mistrovice

Mistrovice lies in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains and combines varied elevations with nature trails, viewpoints and a notable cultural monument. The municipality extends from 397 m to Židův kopec at 591 m, the highest point in Mistrovice. Landscape between the mountain ridge and river scenery

Židův kopec is not only the highest point in the municipality but also a specific destination to explore on foot. You can reach it either via a field road from Hubálkův statek No. 112 or via a footpath from Malův kříž on the road to Sloupek. The two access routes described provide different starting points for finding your way around the area, without restricting the route to a single starting point.

Another viewpoint is located at U lipek, by Malových lip, at an elevation of about 537 m. The access route follows a field road that runs from the road by house No. 50 past houses Nos. 154, 48 and 49 towards the hill. In addition, a view can be reached via a field road followed by a footpath a few hundred metres long.

The natural features of the surrounding area include Sutice Nature Reserve between Mistrovice and Verměřovice, on the right bank of the Tichá Orlice. It is part of Orlice Nature Park. Protected flora can be found in the reserve, including střevíčník pantoflíček, sleziníky and břečťan popínavý.

Church of sv. Jana a Pavla

A cultural complement to the natural attractions is the Church of sv. Jana a Pavla in Mistrovice. The Neo-Romanesque building dates from 1876 and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1998. The church is a branch church of the Roman Catholic parish of Letohrad, where regular services are held. In this way, a stay in Mistrovice can be connected not only with the landscape but also with a specific historic building and an ecclesiastical function that continues to this day.
