Late Gothic Church and Historic Village Character

At the heart of the village’s history is the late Gothic Kostel Všech svatých. The complex includes a cemetery, a mortuary, and an enclosing wall. A remarkable rib vault has been preserved in the presbytery, the chancel of the church. The building was remodeled in the Neo-Gothic style in 1867 by F. Schmoranz. As early as 1350, Kostel Všech svatých was transferred to the newly established Diocese of Litomyšl; the associated parish was dissolved in the 17th century. These different historical layers make the church a particularly informative part of the village.

Another historical detail is the sandstone statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1672. The village character also includes an ensemble of rural buildings with a preserved historic village structure and architectural character. This picture is complemented by Sýpka Stojice, the preserved former granary building. The roof structure of the former granary building, Sýpka Stojice, was severely damaged in 2024. Sýpka thus represents a historic building type whose surviving substance contributes to an understanding of rural village history.

Pond, Cycle Route, and Landscape

Stojický rybník is located in the built-up area of Stojice along the Struha stream. The pond therefore forms an immediate part of the village landscape and complements the historic buildings with a landscape element. Marked cycle route 4128 also runs through the built-up area. This gives you a clear connection between exploring the village and taking a bicycle tour, without defining Stojice solely through individual sights.

Every year, the STOJICKÉ SAKO nohejbal sporting event is held for the traveling trophy of the Municipality of Stojice. Traditional events also include an annual Advent concert in the local church. The two events have different emphases: STOJICKÉ SAKO represents a sporting community event, while the Advent concert incorporates the church as a cultural venue.

For a specific sporting activity, Stojice has a multipurpose court at the sports complex; it can be reserved in person or by telephone through the facility manager.
