The local organization is also noteworthy: since 2010, the Staročeské Máje have been organized entirely by young people from Staré Ždánice. St. Wenceslas Church is an early Gothic church built in 1339 on the site of an earlier Romanesque wooden church. On its north side stands a massive prismatic tower with battlements and a stone pyramidal roof. The former municipal office, which Žilka had built in the 1930s, now houses a small museum dedicated to his life and legacy. It displays historical photographs, documents such as a marriage certificate or military identification card, as well as other artifacts from his life. Staré Ždánice as a Starting Point for Cycling Tours

Two cycling connections include Staré Ždánice. KČT cycling route 4200 begins in Staré Ždánice at cycling route 4040 and leaves the town on an asphalt road toward Osice. Cycling route 4040 connects Čeperka, Staré Ždánice and Lázně Bohdaneč.
