Kopřivná combines foothill to mountainous landscapes with small cultural attractions and trails leading to special places in the surrounding area. The municipality stretches along the road between Šumperk and Hanušovice. This makes it possible to combine your stay with nature experiences, sightseeing and excursions in different directions.

Mountain landscape and trails around Kopřivná

The Kopřivná area has a foothill to mountainous character. The mountain trails lead through forests and pastureland and are also frequently used by cross-country skiers in winter. In addition, the municipality offers numerous trails for tourist exploration and sightseeing. For planning purposes, it therefore makes sense to distinguish between the seasons and activities: in winter, cross-country skiing is an additional option, while at other times the trails combine landscapes and sightseeing. Those who do not want to devote their days exclusively to a single excursion destination will find a variety of themes for their plans: landscapes, exercise and smaller discoveries can be combined.

The Nový Hrad ruins as a distinctive excursion destination

The ruins of Nový Hrad lie between Bohdíkov and Kopřivná and are freely accessible from several directions. You can reach them via marked trails from Hanušovice, Lužná, Bohdíkov and Raškov. The four routes differ considerably: from Hanušovice, the distance is 4.5 km; from Lužná, 1.5 km; from Bohdíkov, 4 km; and from Raškov, 1.2 km. Based on the distance, you can choose between the shorter approaches from Raškov and Lužná and the longer routes from Hanušovice and Bohdíkov. This allows you to compare the starting points according to the planned trail length.

Matzekova Chapel and views of Králický Sněžník

The municipality of Kopřivná in the Šumperk District is home to the small Chapel of the Ascension of Christ, usually known as the Matzekova Chapel. The small Neoclassical rustic structure stands freely at the edge of a field beside a road. This setting makes the chapel an independent cultural attraction in the landscape. From there, among other things, you can enjoy a view of the Králický Sněžník massif. The place thus combines a small cultural experience with a view, while the surrounding trails are more strongly defined by activity and landscape.
