Kladky between Natural Landscapes and Experience Trails

Kladky combines protected landscapes, winter sports and historic trails into a destination with many different facets. Highlights include Kladecko Nature Park, marked hiking trails and excursion destinations that connect nature with regional history. Those travelling with varied interests can choose between a hike, a museum visit, a historic route and winter activities without losing sight of the character of the place.

Nature Monument and Trails in the Nature Park

The U Nádrže nature monument is located in the southern foothills of the Zábřežská vrchovina, in the Ludmírovská vrchovina, approximately 600 m south of Kladky. It covers an area of 6.7 ha. This means that a clearly defined natural area forms part of the immediate surroundings of the village and can be viewed as a separate item on the itinerary alongside the other landscape experiences.

Marked hiking trails starting in Kladky provide access to Kladecko Nature Park. In one part of the nature park, the Kladecko educational trail provides information about the region’s natural and historic attractions. This gives you an opportunity to combine the landscape with interesting information instead of exploring the surroundings solely through individual viewpoints or activities.

Ski Resort and Napoleon Route

The Kladky ski resort is located in Kladecko Nature Park at an elevation of 610 m. It has two main slopes of different difficulty levels, as well as a ski school with professional ski instructors. This combination makes the winter sports area a distinct focus of the village, while the different slopes provide a clear distinction within the range of facilities.

The Napoleon Route takes a different direction. It leads from the Kladky ski resort almost as far as Konice and is intended for cross-country skiers and hikers. The route follows an old cart track used by Napoleonic troops on their way towards Slavkov. In this way, it combines physical activity with a specific historical connection, without requiring the two aspects to be considered separately.

Hiking Route, Museum and Historic Traces

The Nectava–Kladky–Šubířov hiking route connects Nectava railway station with Šubířov railway station. The two stations mark different endpoints and give the route a clear direction. Its highest point is Zahálkovy skalky at 610 m. Those looking for a route with a clearly defined starting point and destination will find here an option structured differently from a walk through the nature park.

The Pila Ludmírov Museum is located in the vicinity of Kladky. Visitors can see military and historic technology, woodworking technology, speleology, meaning the study of caves, and rock-mining equipment there. A church is first mentioned directly in 1581; in 1999, it was recognised as a protected cultural monument because of its historic value.
