Přišimasy: Klepec, educational trail and village history

Přišimasy between natural monument and village history

Přišimasy is a destination for travellers who want to combine nature, village history and community celebrations. Klepec provides the distinctive landscape setting; the settlement pattern, the Church of St Peter and Paul and local events complement it. This places nature experiences, culture and family activities side by side in your travel planning.

Klepec: protected rocks and natural monument

Klepec is a protected rock formation in the cadastral area of Přišimasy. The small rock city was formed from unusual remnants of weathered Říčany granite from the Central Bohemian Pluton. In 1977, Klepec was designated a protected natural monument. The annual celebrations for Earth Day take place at the Klepec natural monument.

Educational trail and marked paths

The Klepec educational trail begins in Přišimasy-Skřivany, is approximately 1 kilometre long and has two stations with information boards. It is marked in yellow and can be used by wheelchair users with assistance as well as with prams. The marked section of the trail therefore provides a clear reference point for planning your own excursion.

Čápova skála lies to the right of the red-marked Hradešín–Úvaly hiking trail at the location known as “Na bačovně”. For orientation, you can therefore use both the trail name and the reference point “Na bačovně”.

Church and circular village settlement

The Church of St Peter and Paul is a single-nave building with a tower as wide as the west façade and a presbytery closed on three sides. Its Romanesque core dates from the mid-13th century. The rectangular Baroque mortuary chapel dates from the 19th century.

Přišimasy preserves a settlement structure that developed from three originally independent settlements. They were laid out as a regular circular village settlement with a large circular village square and a pond. The circular village square and the pond define the regular layout; the three settlements form the historical starting point of the shared village structure visible in Přišimasy.

Celebrations with their own traditions

Staročeské máje is a traditional festival in Přišimasy featuring folk customs, a procession of young men and women in costume, music and evening entertainment. The family race “O pohár Klepce” includes competitions for children and adults as well as a family relay.

The recurring family race takes place in Přišimasy at the Slouha erratic boulder; the 12th edition was scheduled for Saturday, 20 June 2026. Those planning for different age groups can thus distinguish between a short educational trail with information boards and an event format with competitions for children, adults and relay teams.

If you would like to combine the educational trail, local history and events, you can specifically use Přišimasy as a search location for a hotel. The desired mix of nature, culture or family activities can help you determine the focus of your trip.
