Radošov combines a history passed down through the generations with a cultural landscape where water destinations, a chapel, and hiking and cycling opportunities offer a variety of ideas for excursions. The town is therefore of interest to travellers who do not want to organise their stay around just one destination, but wish to choose between culture, activity and relaxation. In the surrounding area are the Cultural Centre in Radošov, the Chapel of Saint Giles southwest of the town, and Vávrovecký Pond between Radošov and Horní Smrčné. There is also Vavrovec Pond near Radošov, as well as a section of trail leading towards the Brtnice Valley.

History from 1365 to present-day cultural use

Radošov is mentioned in a first surviving record from 1365. There are 523 years between this record and the construction of the school in 1888, meaning more than five centuries. Another significant point in the town's history is the year 1888: a school was built in Radošov at that time. The former general school building now serves as a cultural centre. The building's former educational use and its present-day cultural use are thus part of the same structure. In this way, the building connects a historical date with a use that still exists in the town. At the Cultural Centre, the history of the school building and its present cultural purpose are directly connected.

Annual hiking and cycling event at the Cultural Centre

The annual event “Do Radošova ke kapličce sv. Jiljí” brings tourists to the Radošov Cultural Centre. The fifth edition took place on 14 March 2026 and was advertised as both a hiking and cycling event. Participants were offered refreshments and live music at the Cultural Centre. At this event, the Cultural Centre is therefore present not only as a historic building, but also as a specific event venue.

Chapel and water destinations near Radošov

The Chapel of Saint Giles is located southwest of Radošov near Vávrovecký Pond. Vávrovecký Pond lies between Radošov and Horní Smrčné. Vavrovec Pond near Radošov is visited by people from the wider surrounding area for swimming and relaxation.

Vávrovecký Pond also has a small grassy beach with gently sloping access to the water. In addition to spending time by the water, this means there is a specifically described section of shore with a gentle approach to the water.

Trail section towards the Brtnice Valley

The “Radošov & Horní Smrčné” trail section of the “Rokštejnský okruh s návštěvou pivovaru” begins to descend in the direction of the Brtnice Valley. The described section thus connects the local references of Radošov and Horní Smrčné with terrain that slopes down towards the valley.
